Marks division:
For primary TET recruitment there are 6 bases to calculate the final academic score. They are given below -
1.TET
2. MADHYAMIK OR SECONDARY
3. HIGHER SECONDARY
4. TRAINING OR D EL ED
5. EXTRA CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
6. INTERVIEW/ TEACHING DEMONSTRATION AND VIVA
Weightage in academic score calculation process for the 6 bases -
1.TET - 5
2. MADHYAMIK OR SECONDARY - 5
3. HIGHER SECONDARY -10
4. TRAINING OR D EL ED-15
5. EXTRA CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES-5
6. INTERVIEW/ TEACHING DEMONSTRATION AND VIVA -5+5 =10
TOTAL ACADEMIC SCORE = 50

WB Board Of Primary Education has recommended an academic score calculation system which calculates aspirants score for their selection as a primary teacher. It helps to create a merit list State wide.

TET:
In TET examination full marks are 150 . A candidate has to get 60% marks to qualify. But for SC ST OBC and some others category students have to get 55% marks to pass the TET. TET has a WEIGHTAGE of 5 marks in the final academic score.
For example if a candidate gets 110 in TET his score will be 3.666 in TET.
Madhyamik or secondary
In madhyamik full marks is 700 , if a candidate gets 420 then his score in madhyamik will be 2.85.
HS:
In HS full marks is 500 . If a candidate gets 400 , his score in HS will be 8.
In training full marks is 1400. If a candidate gets 1100 , he is score will be 11.785.
Name of extra curricular activities in WB PRIMARY TET :
1. Games and sports - marks -1
2. National cadet corps ( NCC)- marks -1
3. ARTS AND LITERATURE- marks -1
4. DRAMA OR PERFORMING ARTS- marks -1
5. MUSIC- marks -1
Total marks in extra curricular activities in WB Primary TET =5
If a candidate has one of them they will get 1 mark. If someone has several extra curricular activities they will get marks accordingly.
Viva/ interview :
It has two parts. One is a teaching demonstration . And another is a personality test. The marks division here is 5 + 5 .
5 marks are allotted for teaching demonstration. 5 marks are allotted for personality test.
Full marks for these bases -
